Make a trip of it. There are no hotels in Lisbon Falls itself, but Brunswick, Lewiston and Freeport are all 15–20 minutes away — and the Maine coast is right there on Sunday.

Early August is peak season on the Maine coast, and Freeport and Brunswick fill up on summer weekends. Book your room when you buy your ticket. To confirm

A Maine weekend, start to finish

  1. Saturday morning. Drive up, check in, and walk the riverside Papermill Trail or grab lunch in Brunswick.
  2. Saturday, 2 PM. Gates open at the Worumbo riverfront. Eat your way through the Caribbean food vendors while the first bands play.
  3. Saturday, sunset. The sun sets just before 8 and the headliners play into the dark. Music ends at 10.
  4. Sunday. Pick a direction: the coast (Popham Beach, Wolfe's Neck, Bath), a mountain view (Bradbury), or shopping and lobster rolls in Freeport and Portland.

    A paved, wheelchair-accessible path of about 3.5 miles (one way) along the Androscoggin and Sabattus rivers.

  • Olive Pit Brewing

    Local brewery on Main Street, a short walk from the festival grounds.

  • Beaver Park

    Lisbon · In town

    Seven miles of trails, two stocked ponds and a swimming area (no lifeguard). A day pass is required.

  • L.L.Bean flagship

    Freeport · 20 min

    Reopened in September 2026 after a four-year renovation, and open 24 hours again.

  • Bowdoin College Museum of Art

    Brunswick · 15 min

    Free admission. Saturday 10–5, Sunday 1–5. Maine Street is a good walk before or after.

  • Bradbury Mountain

    Pownal · 19 min

    A short hike to a 486-foot summit with wide views — a good Sunday-morning leg stretch.

  • Wolfe’s Neck Woods State Park

    Freeport · 25 min

    Easy trails on the shore of Casco Bay. Fee; busy late morning on weekends.

  • Maine Maritime Museum

    Bath · 21 min

    A 20-acre shipyard museum on the Kennebec, open daily 9:30–5.

  • Pineland Farms

    New Gloucester · 27 min

    Working farm with a market, deli, trails and a farmyard for kids. Weekends 8 AM–6 PM.

  • Portland’s Old Port

    Portland · 36 min

    Cobblestone streets, working piers, restaurants and shops.

  • Popham Beach State Park

    Phippsburg · 45 min

    A long sandy beach with sandbars to walk at low tide. Watch the tide — the bars flood fast.

Lisbon Falls is also the home of Moxie, Maine's official soft drink, and its Moxie Festival — held the second weekend of July, so it never clashes with CRF.
